People frequently ask me my opinion about “Obama Care” and how it’s going to limit our health care in general.
If you think the new plan is going to restrict care – look at what Blue Cross / Blue Shield and MVP does now.
What difference does it make if the government does it to you or the big corporation does it to you - You’re still getting screwed.
All insurance companies have increased their premiums on the pretense that they have to pay their doctors more. That’s a flat out lie. They haven’t raised doctors’ fees in 15 years.
And they’ve made it plain they have no intention of doing so.
They’re raising their premiums to make more money - because they can and they know
you’ll still buy it anyway.
It’s just like gas prices.
Imagine going to the store and buying your groceries, paying for them but not being able to take them home with you.
That is what your health insurance is doing to you right now.
They take your premium but what do you get?
Zip!
They tell you what doctor to go to and how much care you can have.
So, if you think Obama’s plan will be throwing you under the bus when it comes to care…
Your wonderful managed care / HMO plan already did that. And it wasn’t Obama’s plan that gave us this mess, but… other prior governments that were bought and paid for by the wealthy insurance lobby in Washington.
It is time we re-introduced free market thinking into our economy.
Stop buying from people who rip you off and they’ll soon stop or have to go out of business.
Blue Cross, Magna Care, MVP, CDPHP, Empire Plan, and the rest of their kind are NOT out for your benefit. They serve their stock-holders. So, hit them where it hurts.
