One of the best ways to avoid tooth decay is simply: Everyday Maintenance, such as brushing after each meal and flossing at least once each day. Most people get this - It's been drummed into us since our first field trip to the dental hygienist's office when we were in grade school.
Similarly, One of the easiest ways to avoid injuring your back is to get adjusted regularly to keep your spinal joints moving freely.
The importance of this cannot be over-emphasized.
Make it easy - as though you were going for coffee... make it like a date & go with a friend or family member
Also - stretch regularly. Stretch each muscle group slowly for 15 -20 seconds and repeat 3-4 times.
Stretch your legs, front and back, upper and lower,
Your upper leg muscles, in large part - support your back
Stretch your back muscles
Stretch your neck muscles
As you get older you will naturally get a little tighter and stiffer
tight muscles prevent normal joint movement which inevitably leads to joint (think "Back Joint" ) injuries.
So - work towards preventing that from happening.
Make these things a habit
and your back will probably never give you trouble.
